Panda was named for her bold black & white pattern. She is a
small, powerful doe with a very open rear leg set and excellent
feet and legs. She is the result of a repeat breeding that gave us Finesse in '05.
Her udder is fairly well attached, with good medial. Her
teats should be placed more centrally on the udder
halves, but she milks easily and collapses well after
milking. She is producing 2 pounds of milk. That isn't a
lot, but she is a very small doe, and she has held 2.0 -
2.1 lbs for 5 months now. It's a very level lactation.
Her full sister, Finesse, produced similar amounts of
milk as a first freshener, but also held a very level lactation
for 10 months, and did earn her star by producing 612
lbs of milk in 306 days. Finesse then peaked at 4.3 lbs
as a second freshener. I'd expect Panda's production to
increase similarly.
